Boruto was surprised to find out that it was Mitsuki, not Kawaki, who was chasing him. Mitsuki confessed that he had left Kawaki behind to face Boruto alone.
He believed he was stronger than Kawaki, giving him the confidence to challenge Boruto. However, Boruto considered both Kawaki and Mitsuki weak compared to himself, making the battle seem pointless.
But Mitsuki had another reason for confronting Boruto and was unwilling to back down. Subsequently, Mitsuki launched another attack, this time using his Sage Mode clones.
Despite this, Boruto remained composed and used his sword skills to defeat each clone. He then used a Lightning Release Jutsu to face the real Mitsuki. Closing in on Mitsuki, Boruto held his katana to his neck.
According to Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 8 spoilers, Boruto emerged victorious. However, Mitsuki was puzzled as to why Boruto spared him.
Boruto knew Mitsuki considered Kawaki his “Sun,” but he asserted that he was Mitsuki’s “Sun” and nothing could change that. With that, Boruto sheathed his weapon.
Suddenly, Mitsuki’s serpent attacked Boruto, but he remained unharmed. Mitsuki himself doubted Kawaki’s claim to be his “Sun,” as he did not see any illumination from Kawaki.
Mitsuki recalled his serpent and asked Boruto if he had killed the Seventh Hokage. Boruto reassured him that Naruto Uzumaki was safe and sound. Shikamaru and Ino were surprised by this revelation.
Meanwhile, Kawaki woke up elsewhere after being poisoned by Mitsuki, confused about Mitsuki’s whereabouts.
Later, Shikamaru asked Boruto to speak privately. During their conversation, Boruto revealed the secret of Eida’s Omnipotence and its effect on him and Kawaki.
Boruto argued that revealing this information was pointless as it would be forgotten due to the power of omnipotence. Shikamaru agreed to keep it secret.
Boruto was concerned about restoring normalcy, but he urged Shikamaru not to disclose the information, fearing it might prompt Kawaki to act rashly.
